Product Discovery & Solution Blueprint

Discuss this service

When this is the right starting point

  • An assessment identified the opportunity, but the solution is not yet defined.
  • Business and technical stakeholders have different expectations of the project.
  • You need a phased scope, integration plan and acceptance criteria before choosing how to deliver.

What you receive

  • Defined user journeys, process changes and functional requirements for the agreed scope.
  • Key screens or interaction flows where they help validate the solution with users.
  • A solution architecture with interfaces, data responsibilities and non-functional requirements.
  • A prioritized delivery backlog, acceptance criteria and phased estimates with assumptions and exclusions.

How the engagement works

  1. Align stakeholders on the business objective, users, constraints and decisions already made. Reuse existing discovery instead of starting over.
  2. Work through the critical journeys and technical dependencies. Validate the proposed flows and capture decisions that affect scope.
  3. Agree the first release and later increments. Review acceptance criteria, risks, estimates and the responsibilities needed to begin delivery.

A recommendation is a decision, not a commitment to build

You can proceed with UP2DATE, use the agreed deliverables with your own team, or stop after the engagement. We may recommend configuration, an existing product, a smaller intervention or no new software. Implementation is proposed separately when the evidence supports it.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do we need an assessment first?

No. If the problem and opportunity are already understood, we can start with solution design. We review your existing work and scope only the gaps.

Is this the full implementation?

No. The output is a delivery-ready blueprint for the agreed level of detail. Production development, detailed design beyond scope and ongoing delivery are separate.

Can another team implement the blueprint?

Yes. We agree the deliverables and handover rights in the engagement. You can use them with your team or request a separate implementation proposal from UP2DATE.
