What you get

What does your mobile app project include?

Native performance

Swift for iOS, Kotlin for Android — the deepest platform integration, best performance and a truly native feel.

Native or cross-platform

Native is our specialty, but when one codebase fits better we also build with Flutter or React Native — and we help you choose.

Store-ready delivery

Publishing to the App Store and Play Store, with review guidelines, baseline ASO and release management included.

Analytics, push & CI/CD

Push notifications, product analytics, crash reporting and an automated release pipeline from day one.

Budget & timeline

What budget and timeline should you plan for?

How much does a mobile app cost?

UP2DATE's indicative ranges are €8,000–€16,000 for a focused MVP and €16,000–€60,000 for a broader product, excluding VAT. They are not market averages or binding quotes. The proposal defines platforms, backend, integrations, testing, release work and exclusions; infrastructure and support are budgeted separately.

How long does it take to build a mobile app?

For an initial production release, our planning range is two to four months, depending on requirements and dependencies. A four-to-six-week pilot has a narrower scope and assumes ready integrations. The project schedule is confirmed after analysis.

How we work

How will we work together?

Our mobile app development team in Bucharest (Voluntari), Romania ships for clients across Romania, the EU and the US. Every project follows the same senior-led process:

  1. 1

    Discovery & estimate

A 30-minute call with a specialist consultant, then a scoped proposal with a realistic budget and timeline.

  2. 2

    Design & architecture

UX flows and UI design alongside the technical architecture — the platform choice (native Swift/Kotlin or Flutter/React Native) is locked here.

  3. 3

    Build in weekly sprints

Senior engineers ship working builds weekly via TestFlight and internal testing, so you see real progress instead of waiting for a reveal.

  4. 4

    Store launch

Submission, review handling, baseline ASO and staged rollouts for the App Store and Google Play — included in delivery.

  5. 5

    Post-launch support

Monitoring, OS-compatibility updates and feature evolution under a clear SLA — apps live for years, not just until launch.

Technology

Which technology fits your app?

Our specialty is native — Swift and Kotlin — for the best performance and platform integration. When speed and a single codebase matter more, we build with Flutter or React Native. Either way, one senior team covers the whole chain: the app, the .NET/cloud backend and AI where it adds value.

FAQ

What else should you know before we start?

Can we start without technical specifications?

Yes. We start with your business objectives and existing systems. We define requirements and architecture with your team, then deliver in stages. If the scope is already clear, we can start directly with implementation.

Do you build native or cross-platform apps?

Both — and native is our specialty. For the best performance and platform integration we build native: Swift for iOS, Kotlin for Android. When a single codebase and faster, lower-cost delivery matter more, we build cross-platform with Flutter or React Native. We help you choose based on your product, budget and roadmap.

Do you publish to the App Store and Google Play?

We prepare submissions and responses to store feedback. Approval depends on Apple and Google. Fixes, resubmissions and checks after iOS or Android updates are defined in the project scope and support agreement.

Can you add AI features to the app?

Yes. We integrate LLM copilots, in-app assistants and intelligent automation where they add real value, built and reviewed by senior engineers with guardrails and monitoring rather than bolted on as a demo.

Who owns the code and the accounts?

The proposal and contract define rights to custom code, transfer conditions and access to repositories, accounts and documentation. Third-party and open-source components retain their licenses; we identify them to clarify dependencies.

What happens if Apple or Google rejects the app?

We prepare submissions and responses to store feedback. Approval depends on Apple and Google. Fixes, resubmissions and checks after iOS or Android updates are defined in the project scope and support agreement.
