The challenge

Defiro Health needed to connect patients and doctors around real device data — not self-reported numbers, but live readings from smart medical devices — with patient apps on one side and a clinician platform on the other.

What we did

We built Defiro Health as native iOS and Android patient apps plus a clinician web platform, joined by real device data.

BLE device integration. The patient apps pair with smart medical devices over Bluetooth (BLE) and bridge to HealthKit and Google Fit, so readings come from the device rather than manual entry.

Native where the data lives. Device pairing and continuous monitoring need native iOS and Android, so the patient side is native rather than a wrapper.

A doctor-facing web platform. Clinicians access and monitor patients in real time from a dedicated web platform — the other half of the loop.

Stack: SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose, React, Node.js, BLE, PostgreSQL, HealthKit and Google Fit.

The results

Patients use native iOS and Android apps connected to smart medical devices over BLE, while doctors monitor them in real time from a dedicated web platform.

The result is a closed loop built on real device data: readings flow from the device to the patient app to the clinician, continuously, so monitoring is based on what's actually happening rather than on what a patient remembers to report.
