The challenge

Jerry's, a pizzeria chain, was taking orders by phone and through third-party aggregators that own the customer relationship and take a cut of every order. They wanted their own branded ordering app — one that handles full pizza customisation, takes payment directly, and lets customers watch their delivery in real time.

  • A branded ordering app, not a third-party listing
  • Full pizza customisation (the part generic apps get wrong)
  • Integrated payments
  • Real-time delivery tracking on the map
What we did

We built native iOS and Android apps with a complete pizza builder, integrated payments and live delivery tracking.

A real pizza builder. Full customisation — the combinations a pizza chain actually sells — is the core of the app, so customers order exactly what they want without a phone call.

Pay in the app. Integrated Stripe payments keep checkout in the branded experience rather than handing it to an aggregator.

Watch it arrive. Live delivery tracking on the map (Google Maps) turns the anxious wait for an order into a transparent one.

Owned customer relationship. Because it's Jerry's own app, the chain owns the customer, the data and the margin — not a marketplace.

Stack: SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose, Firebase, Google Maps, Stripe and push notifications.

The results

Orders grew 30%, customers track every delivery in real time and fully customise their pizza — and the app holds a 4.8★ rating.

The branded app moved volume off the phone and off third-party aggregators onto a channel Jerry's owns — with the customer relationship, the data and the full margin staying with the chain instead of a marketplace.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How did Jerry's Pizza grow orders by 30% with its own app?

Direct ordering without aggregator commissions, push notifications for offers and real-time delivery tracking turned occasional customers into repeat ones — the 4.8★ rating reflects how frictionless the order flow is.

What does real-time delivery tracking change?

Customers see the order status live instead of calling the restaurant — fewer support calls, fewer abandoned orders and a reason to order through the app instead of an aggregator.

How long does an ordering app like this take?

A branded ordering app with payments, push and tracking typically ships to both stores in 2–4 months — our standard mobile delivery window.
