This Privacy Policy explains how UP2DATE Software (“UP2DATE”, “we”, “us”) processes personal data when you visit up2date.ro or contact us. We handle your data lawfully, transparently and in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What data we collect
We only collect the data you choose to give us, plus the minimal technical data needed to run the site securely:
- Contact details you submit through our contact form — your name, email address, phone number and the message you write.
- Technical data automatically logged by our hosting provider, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, used to keep the site secure and available.
- Data processed by Google reCAPTCHA to tell humans from bots when you submit the contact form.
How and why we use it
We use your data to:
- Respond to your enquiry and discuss a potential project with you.
- Provide and improve our services and this website.
- Protect the site against spam, abuse and security threats.
- Meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Legal basis (GDPR)
We process your contact-form data to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries. Technical and security data is processed on our legitimate interest in operating a safe, reliable website. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
Service providers we use
We share data only with the processors that make our website and communication work, under appropriate data-processing terms:
- Google Firebase (Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC) — website hosting and database storage of contact requests.
- Google reCAPTCHA — bot protection on the contact form, subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- Google Workspace (Gmail) — we receive contact-form notifications at office@up2date.ro.
International transfers
We host data within the EU where possible. Some providers (e.g. Google) may process data outside the European Economic Area; in those cases the transfer is covered by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
How long we keep it
We keep contact-form messages for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting business relationship, and afterwards only as long as required to meet legal obligations. Technical logs are kept for a short period for security purposes.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Have inaccurate data corrected.
- Have your data erased where the law allows.
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Receive your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time.

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Google reCAPTCHA may set cookies that are strictly necessary to provide bot protection on the contact form.
