Households throw away food because they lose track of what they have and when it expires. Food Savers needed an app that turns the pantry into actionable, money-saving suggestions.
What we did
We built native apps with barcode scanning, expiry tracking and AI-generated recipes from what you already have — with senior engineers owning the product and AI as a capability inside it.
Stack: SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose, Firebase, OpenAI API, ML Kit, barcode scanner.

Users cut food waste by up to 60%, save around €150 a month and get automatic expiry reminders plus personalised AI recipes.
